Meeting Lida for the first time is a memory I’ll never forget. In the thick of Anorexia I wasn’t having it. Lida was the one who started my journey through treatment in residential care, and as much as I deemed her as “the one who sent me away,” I now know the genuine hurt she had for me and my family. Going back to Lida after residential, PHP, and IOP was one of the best decisions I ever made in recovery. Everything she has done for me has been so beneficial and I’m so grateful to have her in my life. Having a dietitian who has so much experience with eating disorders is a huge benefit. I feel like she knows where I’m coming from and has first-hand experience and actually understands me. I am beyond grateful to have Lida in my recovery journey and am so excited to continue to grow with her. -Eve H.

“It’s fine, I’m fine. You don’t know what you’re talking about!!” I can’t tell you how many times my daughter told me this! When we discovered Eve had Anorexia Nervosa, the weight was already gone. Lida was a vital part steering us onto the right path of restoration. We had to make the difficult decision to send Eve to Residential care, then PHP, IOP. We liked Lida and we wanted to return to her for Outpatient. She has been a vital part in Eve’s Outpatient care. Lida is approachable, personable and knowledgeable. She speaks the language Eve needs to hear. She is flexible in strategies for us while standing firm against the disease. Through the ups and downs of this disease, we’ve been able to trust and rely on Lida’s expertise. This is a long journey of healing, and as parents we are on the front lines of it, however we have help. I say all the time I’m a witness not a judge. Do I still hear “It’s fine, I’m fine”, yes, but now I respond...”What does Lida say?” We are so thankful we have her support and Lida is an important piece to Eve’s care team. We can’t imagine Lida not on this road with us!
