My approach to nutritional counseling

A little bit about myself

I believe that long-term success is about achieving balance, not about achieving perfection. My aim is to bring joy and peace back to eating no matter what the nutritional barriers may be. I work with clients on a common goal, emphasizing a path of collaboration, where learning nutritional tips and tricks for success along the way can actually be enjoyable and empowering!

I strive to create nutritional balance back in our lives by steering us away from black and white thinking. I personally believe that everything is best in moderation…including moderation. My aim is to free each person from the loud mental clutter that leaves us feeling uncertain, guilty or shameful about our bodies and our food choices. I will help you find the right nutritional tools to quiet the negative self talk and ultimately lead you to a joyful sound mind.

I have a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Georgia College and State University and a Master’s in Nutrition from Virginia Tech. I completed my dietetic internship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. I have over 20 years of experience helping clients with their nutritional goals and I continue to love it every year! In my free time I’m running after two active kiddos, walking my equally active dog, playing a bit of tennis with some ladies, and crashing at night in front of the latest Netflix series with my husband. Oh, and did I mention I really, really love food?

There is so much joy in helping others rediscover a wonderful relationship with their bodies and with food.
